Faith in action

We as followers of Christ know that faith without action is dead. We need to keep our faith alive.
Listen, what is God saying to you?
How can we have faith if we do not act.
Faith is an action word!

Home Town....For the night anyway

Well I'm in Litchfield, MI. It is a cute old town with a nice little park area in the center. Real down home feeling. Gonna spend the night here, I am 88 miles from home already! According to google Map I have only 522 miles to go! So give or take 50 miles. I could follow turn for turn but I am going to stay with my original path. Not liking all this back road stuff. REAL LONELY.
I think Im gonna go to the Litchfield Congergational Church in the morning. Should be interesting.  have never been to a random church before.
I am praying that God sends me someone to walk with for w while. Please join me in that prayer. I NEED PEOPLE!
The weather is great! It is nice and cool.
I was able to talk with Lloyd today that was nice. I aslo spoke with Pastor John from the Hamiltom CRC. That was nice as well.
I have been talking with the family every day at least once. I miss them a lot!
Well gonna go for now.

    1. Thank you. You truly have no idea how much your comment means to me today. I was going through some spiritual struggle today and prayed that God show me why I am doing this again. Your comment answered that prayer. Thank you!

  3. Will be praying for a walking partner for you for tomorrow. Also will pray that you will be blessed and that you will be a blessing at church tomorrow. I am starting the "Daniel Fast" tomorrow. It is a 21 day fast the way Daniel fasted--only fruits, veggies, and whole grains (no sugar, breads with yeast, meat, or dairy products) only water to drink. During this Daniel Fast, I will specifically be focusing on praying for my family, for church, and FOR YOU!!! :) If you can walk 15 miles a day to DC, then surely I can give up my favorite foods! You are an inspiration, John, hang in there, and I will be thinking of you and praying for you often! Have good sleeps tonight, Tabitha

  4. I must share this too, thanks Tabitha for sharing your story. I have been struggling lately with really trusting God and letting him be in control. This morning he told me to run. I haven't ran in a while but it was clear that he was telling me to run. Well, I went out and it was raining and cold. Everything in me said to turn around but then I thought of you John and how you are not able to turn around so easily. So I kept going. While I was running, I got sprayed in the face (it was still dark!) by a sprinkler and tripped on a curb. I knew then that God was telling me to keep running, even if it's hard or you stumble. Thank you John for the motivation! There is a huge hill that I always turn around at before I go up it and today during my run, God told me to run that hill tomorrow. May seem insignificant to walking to DC, but it's all about trusting God. Keep walking John, God is doing more through you than you will ever know! ~Tiffany

  5. Tabitha, you are awesome. I am so glad God had our family meet your family. I cant wait to tell you all the stories when I get back. You too are an insperation for me to keep going.
Tiffany- Thank you so much for this comment. It means more to me than you know. My prayer for you is that you not only find the strength to run that hill, but find the strength in Jesus Christ to act for the Kingdom of God too.
Nothing coming from God is insignificant. My walk to DC is no bigger than your run up that hill. When it comes to obediance God does not favor one more than the other.
I think it is awesome that you listened, even when it was hard!
You Can Do It,the hill cant beat you. Through Jesus Christ you can do all things!
