Faith in action

We as followers of Christ know that faith without action is dead. We need to keep our faith alive.
Listen, what is God saying to you?
How can we have faith if we do not act.
Faith is an action word!

What A Day

So yesturday I ate dinner at this restaurant near Gull lake and met this guy. He must of found out I was going to DC from the waitress. Any way, he came out and asked what Washington I was going to and asked who I was voteing for. Lets just say he is republican. That was it really, I finished eating and left. As I was walking this morning I was about 6 miles in and that same guy stops along the road. His name is Jim. He asked why I was doing this, so I tolled him. He offered to take me to his place for coffee. Now normally I would turn down a ride but I felt I should becasuse we had met the night before. So I said sure. He only lived about a mile up the road, in the direction I was headed.
We got to his house and had coffee. He countinued to talk most of the time, wow what a story.
He had guns every where. Kinda scary but I felt oddly good about it. He was a member of the NRA and all kinds of other stuff. He took me to his garage to show me his cars. He had two Porches one which was a slant nose! He also had two classic Ferraris and several other cars and motor cycles.
We went back in the house and continued to talk. He offered to give me a ride into Battle Creek. I said I was good walking. He said there was a hotel there I could stay at,I told him I had a tent. He got his wallet gave me $100 and said what Hotel do you want me to bring you too?
What was I supposed to say to that?
I rememberd what a pastor said to me before I left. He said that God may use others to help me and if I am offered a ride don't turn it down just because I don't think I should take a ride.
God used Jim today!

  2. This reminds me of a joke i once heard. I man went over board at sea, 3 times people came to him saying can we help you? And the man replied, God will send help and save me, rejecting each of them. Then after a while he could swim no longer and drowned. When he made it to heaven the man asked God why he didn't save him and God replied, I sent 3 sailors to save you and you rejected all of them! Its funny how we put God in a box and limit His actions. Glad that He is all-knowing and he knows what is best for us! Continue on your wonderful journey! We are praying for you! <3 Ica
