Faith in action

We as followers of Christ know that faith without action is dead. We need to keep our faith alive.
Listen, what is God saying to you?
How can we have faith if we do not act.
Faith is an action word!

We have the power to change the World! Now use it!

How many times have you asked this question or prayed this prayer?
God send someone to so and so, so that they may see you.
God please put someone in so and so's life
God, when will someone come to share Christ with so and so?

I have, a lot. Maybe not those exact prayers  but I have so many times not wanted to be the one God had in mind!

As Dave Earley puts it in Evangelism is, " God will do what we cannot do,but God will not do what we can do. God's method is mankind. His plan is people. His strategy is You and I. We are the only Jesus the world will ever see. Making a difference is up to you and me. If we do not do it, it will not get done. If it is not getting done, it is because we are not doing it."

Wow! Does that speak volumes or what? Look at the world today. Just today I saw on the news that more and more people are in support of Gay marriage. We are not doing it!  In Matthew 5 Jesus says that we are the salt to the earth and the light to the world. If you ask me we are really weak salt and a 5 watt light bulb that can barely be seen from the street! (and not one of those energy efficient lights either)

So, what do we do? Well I Highly suggest you get the book Evangelism is. But, if you cant find it than do this. Just be like Jesus, love people, all people. Ask God how he can use you. Pray that God puts people in you life that you can share the good news of Jesus with!

Dave Earley puts it this way, "As Christians we have the ability to be exactly what the world needs. We can be salt preserving a rotting society and bring taste to the tasteless culture. We can be like light giving hope and direction to those stumbling in darkness. As light we can attract people to the Light of the world. As salt we can cause people to thirst after the Water of Life."

Wow! In other words we as Christians have the power to change the world!

I guess what I am trying to say is that we as Christians have an amazing power (Jesus Christ) to change the world, but if we do not use that power what good is it! If a teacher never taught, if a judge never judged, if a preacher never preached, if an assistant never assisted, if a fire fighter never fought a fire what good would they be to the world? If we do not use the power we have through the Holy Spirit why have that power at all?
