It was a busy day today in DC. Went to 4 meetings this morning with Gary. First it was at Churches for Middle East Peace then Church World Service then EAD at the Presbyterian Church in DC and finally the National Religion Campaign Against Torture ( in prisons ).
After these meetings I was on my own for the afternoon. I toured the Capital, went through the National Archives, Library of Congress, saw the White House and just looked around downtown DC.
Then we all met back up for dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant, Pho 14.
After dinner we went to the world premier of The Line, a film on poverty in America. It was a great film. After the film they had a panel discussion with Rev. Jim Wallis President and CEO of Sojourners, Rev Adam Taylor VP of Advocacy World Vision, Sheila Edwards Howard Founder of Born to be light and Linda Midgett Producer and Director of The Line.
