I was listening to 1 Corinthians 8 today. It is talking about food sacrificed to idols. I'm not so sure this is taking about food to idols as much as it is talking about sinning. I think this verse is talking about watching what we do as strong followers of Christ so that others will not stumble.
For instance, if a newer follower of Christ that we know believes that mowing your grass on Sunday is a sin than we should not do it either because they may look up to us as strong believers and be swayed to do it them selves there for violating their own beliefs. We would be sinning. If we are leaders in the church people look up to us. We need to be carefull with what we do and say. For we will be sinning if we knowingly do something that another believer believes to be a sin in front of that person or while that person knows we do it. Even if it is not truly going against Gods word.
