Faith in action

We as followers of Christ know that faith without action is dead. We need to keep our faith alive.
Listen, what is God saying to you?
How can we have faith if we do not act.
Faith is an action word!

Wed. Prayer Meeting

Prayers For Our Government

We thank you, Father for a government that is generally honest and trustworthy. We know our leaders have  difficult decisions to make each and every day. Give them wisdom and ears to hear your voice. We pray Lord for our current president Barack Obama, that you will guide him in the work you have called him to do, and that all our legislators will work together to do what is right for all. Amen.

  • Pray for our president and the work God has called him to do.
  • Pray for our legislators that they establish just laws that guide our nation.
  • Pray for our nation's judges that they will rule fairly and in accordance with Gods will.
  • Pray for those who protect us ( armed forces, police, firefighters, etc.)
  • pray for protection form terrorist attacks
  • Pray for our State of Michigan government leaders
  • Pray for our schools and those who work in them, both public and private
1st Timothy 2: 1-3
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quite lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and please God our Savior.

Romans 13 1-5
Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in position of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are Gods servants, sent for your good. But they have the power to punish you. They are Gods servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

  1. I am very glad to see the focus change in the recent postings on this blog. I thank God for answering the prayers of those who desire to see God glorified and HIS Word being spread. The Glory and Honor belong to God Our Father and His Son, who became flesh and Walked as a Man on this planet. Praise God!!

    1. The focus was always about glorifying God. I am sorry for any misunderstanding with any posts or what this blog is about.
It is important to share what God is doing in our personal life. That shows how God loves us. The direction God leads us all in is a very important part our the testimony to Gods love and faithfulness.
There is no way any of the things going on in my life would be possible if I did not turn away from my old ways to follow Christ and choose to live my life for him.
The cool thing is when we trust in Jesus and turn our lives over to him amazing gojng happen. But we can't just turn over part of our lives, we need to turn over our whole life, everything about our life needs to be his. Will we mess up ? Of course we will but that's not the point, the point is that our hearts are in the right place, our hearts are turned to Jesus. When we do that things look different, feel different, they are different.
