First, so much is going on I cant share all the good stuff with you or I wont have any new stuff for the book. LOL.
I stayed at Pump House Ministry last night. It is a homeless shelter in Ashland. I met some really neat people this morning. RT who is a resident here and he took me right in and showed me around. He offered me coffee and a bowl of cereal. He kinda became a friend and is my contact around here.
I am hanging out for a bit till the thrift store opens. I am going to donate some of my clothing in order to get some warmer clothing. It has been getting cold out!
I am listening to this kid talk right now and he is going on and on about energy drinks he mixes together. He wont stop talking! LOL I think I have been listening to him now for 20 min. Pretty sure I have heard the word energy like 1000 times since then! LOL.
Its all good though. He needs someone to listen to him apparently.
My eyes have really been opened up here. I can really see how much we take for granted.
I have also noticed that when I have no one and am needing human contact I can except anyone. We need to do this every day. We need to except everyone everyday. Jesus did!
I think we get so caught up in OUR own lives we forget how Jesus really lived. We go on excepting people based on what we want out of people not what they need out of us. We have a set
" prerequisites" for people in our lives. If they don't fit into our little box then we don't want them in our life. We may not admit it or want to believe it but it is true. For me it is true at least. I need to learn that we all are children of God and we are all made in the image of God. If that is true, which it is, then why do we except some and not others? I need to be more like Jesus in the sense that I need to except everyone, young, old, rich, poor, homeless, alcoholics addict sex offenders, Christians and no Christians.
I do not need to agree or even like what they are doing but I need to except them as children of God.
I am a sinner just like the rest of the world. Where do I get the right categorizing others sins? Why is there sin "so much worse than mine"? God sees sin as sin! We all need forgiveness.
This was as hard for me to write as it may be for some of you to read, but, I felt led to write it.
I have learned that it is better to listen to the Spirit than not to.
