Inspiration

           Some times God gives you gifts out of the blue. It seems that when we listen to Gods promptings and act out of nothing more than obedience He honors that, in more ways than one. Many people have asked me why I am doing this. To tell you the truth, I don't know! Can I see how God could use this? Yes. Can I see where God is using this now? Yes. But, as for knowing the purpose, I have no clue.
At all I can do is listen, with no agenda, then act out in faith. I don't want what I think should happen get in the way of what God wants to happen. I can go into this thinking, oh I'm gonna do this or that but God has a funny way of humbling us when we do that. God has an agenda for me, for us and I don't want to get in the way of that.
         
         I was walking last night down M-40 when I can upon three teenagers. I was listening to music but could tell they wanted to talk. So I took my headphones out and said hi.
       "Are you that guy walking to Washington DC?" One of them asked.
I said I was and we continued to talk and they asked questions like, how far is it, how long will it take you and so on.
It was really cool that God put those kids in my path that day.
One of then heard me talk at church the previous Sunday.
 The gift that God gave me that day was that one of them said, "Wow you are an inspiration, no really I am inspired."

     Me, an inspiration? I never in a million years would think that I would be an inspiration.
It made me happy, not that I was an inspiration but that that these teens where seeing Jesus in what I am doing. They may not know it right now but God has a plan for them, there was a reason we crossed paths.
I pray that someday they hear God talk to them and out of faith they act, make a difference in the world and impact the Kingdom of God!
We are all Gods children and he loves us all dearly. Just as we should listen to our earthly father we should also listen to our Heavenly Father.
